Job: Lead Marine Engineer

My Client is a multi-nation Oil and Gas contractor and they are currently seeking a Lead Marine Engineer to join their engineering team located in Perth, Western Australia.

You will be reporting to the Chief Marine Engineer, the Lead Marine Engineer will provide technical expertise, experience, and leadership in the design and oversight of a variety of coastal and maritime structure projects including jetties, breakwaters, and wharves within the oil and gas industry.

The successful candidate’s accountabilities shall include:

• Project planning input
• Conceptual and detailed design
• Meeting projects schedule and budget requirements
• Generating technical documents such as basis of design, drawings, specifications, and reports
• Supervision of engineers and draftspersons
• Ensuring high quality deliverables
• Technical excellence of self and reports
• Liaison with internal and external clients and construction staff
• Mentoring and contributing to the professional development of subordinates

The ideal candidate shall be well a rounded engineer holding a Civil Engineering Degree (or related) with a minimum of 15 years experience in the design of maritime (and coastal) steel & concrete structures, civil infrastructure, and roadway projects associated with the resource or infrastructure development industries. Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
