The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of process design /development of new manufacturing processes within a Lean manufacturing environment.

This role involves full life cycle design, taking a concept then designing, constructing and commissioning new manufacturing facilities and processes. This will include liaising with vendors and suppliers and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory codes and Australian standards. An additional two positions reporting to the Manufacturing Manager will coordinate and execute the development, planning and implementation of effective and efficient production processes. You will identify and lead process improvements affecting the performance of a composites manufacturing operation and provide engineering support to reduce downtime and the incidence of equipment breakdowns. You will also investigate and make recommendations regarding the introduction of new engineering technologies and ensure compliance with current safety codes and Australian standards.

Candidates should be qualified in mechanical engineering or a related discipline and have Lean manufacturing experience in a high volume production environment. You will have a practical ‘hands on’ approach and be able to demonstrate well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
