Job: Structural Drafter AutoCAD

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming large-scale projects, our client now seeking expressions of interest from highly motivated Marine Structures Drafters for their NSW business.  This is an exciting time to join an industry-leading team in marine engineering currently experiencing a period of growth.  You will be involved in wide-ranging marine projects across the East Coast of Australia as well as opportunities to wok projects in the Asia-Pacific region.

Skills and attributes sought for this position include:

• Qualifications in Structural Drafting
• Minimum 3 years experience in a consulting company, in a similar role
• Proven experience and proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and relevant software
• Ability to work closely with engineers to achieve project outcomes throughout the design lifecycle
• An understanding of heavy structural box sections, connections and interfacing with raked and vertical piling, along with diaphragm stiffening and external stiffening for such structures would be essential
• Experience in setting out revetment to retain land fill
• Understanding and experience in laying out of mooring dolphins
• Experience with headstock layouts for different loading conditions
• Set out of mooring lines for all class of bulk containers and crude carriers
• Understanding of mechanism and constraints for retractable platforms
• An understanding of various co-ordinate geodetic systems, GIS, ISG, AHD etc, would be advantageous
• Experience and understanding of Australian standards will be highly regarded
